Autograph! Autograph!

Did you know that Shakespeare's signatures are one of the most sought after autographs in history? Maybe....but only six exist, and they're valued at about 3 million. Dang. I would have thought that there would have been more, didn't he sign his manuscripts? Documents? Anything? Or have they all been lost in history?! (*ohhh*)

  1. some of them must have been lost. there is no way he never signed anything. would any of your guys buy his signature for 3 million? would you buy anyone's signature for 3 million dollars?

  2. I've always thought that only 6 signatures is bizarre. Somewhere in the dim recesses of my memory I recall that they aren't even all spelled the same, but that doesn't sound right. Regardless of spelling, I wouldn't pay much for Shakes' signature; giving it to a museum for a tax write-off and a donation to charity sounds much better.
